Social Worker – Birth to Settled Adulthood Service

We are seeking an experienced and committed Social Worker to join a Birth to Settled Adulthood Service supporting children and young people aged 0–25 with a wide range of disabilities.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team supporting children, young people, and families through key stages of development and transition into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across Children’s Services
• Work within Early Help, Child in Need, Child Protection, and Children in Care frameworks
• Support young people and families with preparation for adulthood planning
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals and partner services
• Promote positive outcomes and long-term support planning for children and young people
• Maintain accurate records and deliver high-quality social work practice

About the Team

You will work within a supportive multi-disciplinary team including:

• Social Workers
• Paediatric Occupational Therapists
• Best Start in Life Advisers
• Family Workers

The service focuses on collaborative working, professional support, and improving outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience within Children’s Services
• Disability services experience preferred but not essential
• Strong partnership and multi-agency working skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Own transport essential due to the rural nature of North Dorset
