We are seeking dedicated and experienced Social Workers to join Children & Families Services supporting children, young people, and families through assessment, safeguarding, and intervention work.

This role involves managing a varied caseload, undertaking assessments, safeguarding children, and promoting positive outcomes through high-quality social work practice.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and partner agencies while operating within statutory frameworks and safeguarding legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Children & Families caseloads of varying complexity
  • Undertake assessments, reviews, and care planning
  • Prepare welfare reports and attend court where required
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and multi-agency professionals
  • Promote safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Maintain accurate and timely case recordings and reports
  • Work within Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children frameworks
  • Apply evidence-based and systemic approaches to practice
  • Promote strengths-based and child-focused interventions

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registered Social Worker
  • Experience within Children & Families Social Work
  • Knowledge of Child Protection, Children in Need, and Looked After Children frameworks
  • Experience completing assessments and report writing
  • Ability to work effectively within court settings
  • Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel across a wide geographical area
