Care Assistant – Residential & Nursing Care

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Care Assistants to support residents within a residential and nursing care setting.

This role involves providing high-quality person-centred care, supporting residents with daily living activities, maintaining dignity and wellbeing, and promoting independence wherever possible.

The successful candidate will work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and daily living needs
• Build positive relationships with residents through key working responsibilities
• Complete care records, daily contact sheets, and care plans
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns to senior staff
• Support residents with activities, social interaction, and external trips
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within residents’ rooms
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, relatives, and healthcare professionals
• Follow health & safety procedures and moving & handling guidelines

Requirements

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and understanding when supporting vulnerable adults
• Understanding of residential care and older persons services
• Ability to support residents with mobility and personal care needs
• Willingness to use moving and handling equipment following training
• Ability to work within a team environment
